Volunteer’s Day - informative, cozy and above all inspiring. On Saturday, the 3rd of September, we held the KFF Volunteer’s Day gathering at Dravik, Nootdorp. A lot of the foundation volunteers accepted the invitation of Adrie and Sian to come and meet at their home. The volunteers enjoyed seeing each other, sharing experiences and enjoyed the delicious Laotian buffet prepared by Sian and her Thai and Laotian friends. 11-11-2011 |

New school This school in Dong Ma Kheng hosts seventy-four children from 6 different villages. As you can see on the picture, the school is definitely not an inspiring learning environment for the pupils. That’s why the school director and village head have contacted our local committee to request support. 29-01-2011 |

English website online! During my work in Laos in 1997- 2000 I have met many people from many different countries. Because of the new English website more people can be updated on all the new developments in the South of Laos. Christmas Market Wellant College Madestein succeeded!!! On the 16th of December 2009, there was a special Christmas market organized at the Madesteinweg in Den Haag. Proceeds of the yield: purchase of textbooks for children in Laos. This is desperately needed because at present, 5 children have to share 1 book! As part of the preparation before the Christmas market event, students had workshops on how to create and prepare Christmas pieces and decorations, birdhouses and others. School blown down, two new schools built! A storm gave the classrooms of Ban Boung School a final blow. The school building collapsed and can’t be repaired anymore. Also, the school in Ban Kaeng Village is no longer safe to use. The Laotian government pays the teachers, but they can’t help to put up new school buildings. 05-09-2010 |
