Help to make a difference

Would you like to help us raise funds for the foundation Friends of Khongdistrict, but you don’t know  how? See what other have done before you. Maybe you can do the same or come up with an even better idea. We’d love to hear if the project succeeded or not. Good luck!

Maybe you could consider an internship? This way you can learn a lot and you can give back to the community, which also helps us! Maybe you could teach a course at school or visit your local elderly home and inform people what our foundation is about. Inspire your fellow students to come up with ideas! 

How about you…

- Organize a jumble sale. You could sell stuff you or your family won’t need anymore. And ask your fellow students to do the same.

- Organize a fair at your school where you can sell all kinds of products, including snacks and refreshments. 

- Be creative with crafts. Let your imagination come to life and sell the original products you’ve made, for example Christmas decorations. 

- Raise money by having a sponsored athlete competition. One of our workers would be happy to inform you and your classmates about the foundation and the work we do for children in third world countries. 

- Bake homemade cookies or other treats. You can sell them to your family, friends and neighbors on national holidays. For instance, on Queens Day you can sell your treats on the streets. 

- Sell your decorations to parents at the Christmas Fair at your school.

- Enter the school play or a musical performance or propose to be in charge of selling the tickets. 

Raise a part of the yields for the organization. 

- Save the money! Save money with others by sharing a thrift-box, so you can help a school in Laos!  For a little more than one euro the students can purchase a schoolbook!

- Sell handmade lemonade during the warm summer days. 

- Sell stuff from your own garden, like carrots, berries, pumpkins and such. 

- Organize a hut building day at your school. Take care of demolition wood, nails and pallets. Invite the people from your school to come and build a hut! Ask for a little donation when they enter and donate the income to our foundation! 

And of course there is always room for more ideas! How about your custom made poems, music, beautiful drawings, your play etc. There are plenty of exciting ways to help us raise money and you actually have the opportunity to help people who are less fortunate than others.
